Memorial Day Weekend At Heritage Funeral Home: Saturday, May 25th through Monday, May 27th
Memorial Weekend Open House from 9:00am until 5:00pm each day.
This year we are honoring ALL who have served our nation in the Armed Forces--living and dead. We ask that you share this experience by bringing in a military photo (veteran, deceased or currently serving) to place on our "Wall of Honor".
In addition, you can enjoy the following:
-Musical entertainment each day at Noon and 1:30pm in the Heritage Chapel. This will honor the Korean War and Vietnam War era and is titled "From Inchon to Saigon". Popular songs from the era will be highlighted.
-Extensive Veterans display and memorabilia
-Display of special Packard automobiles
-Antique and Classic car display
-Tree of Remembrance
-Refreshments in our Heritage reception room
-Brass Band Concert on Sunday evening at 6:00pm at the Cross of Inspiration in Greenwood Memorial Terrace Cemetery
Exhibits close promptly at 5:00pm each day.

You are cordially invited to attend the Washington Department of Veteran Affairs Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 27th at 11:30am.
The Washington State Veterans Cemetery is located at 21702 West Espanola Road in Medical Lake, Washington 99022.
Parking is available at the cemetery with overflow available along Ritchey Road.
Memorial Day Event on Monday, May 27th at 11:00am at Evergreen Cemetery in Post Falls.
Program includes Post Falls Police Color Guard, American Legion Honor Guard, Presentations by Mayor Larkin, Rep. Frank Henderson (representing WW II Veterans), Counselor Skip Hissong (representing Vietnam War Veterans), and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue District Chief Dan Ryan (representing Veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars), a rifle salute to fallen Veterans and the playing of Amazing Grace and Taps.
We advise that those needing chairs come early to insure that they get a seat, because seating is limited.
Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony & Wreath Laying at Honeysuckle Beach in Hayden Idaho on Monday, May 27th.
We set aside one day out of the year for the nation to come together to remember, reflect and honor those who have given their all in service to our community.

Highlights include guest speaker Curley Lawson, MSW, North Idaho College, Tolling of the boast at Honeysuckle Beach and Hayden Hot Punch Pipe Band!

Public Memorial For Airmen Of KC-135 Crash
A public memorial for the patriots who lost their lives onboard a KC-135 that crashed May 3rd will be held on Tuesday, May 28th at the INB Performing Arts Center at 1:00pm.
Capt. Mark Tyler Voss, Capt. Victoria Pinckney and Tech. Sgt. Herman “Tre” Mackey III will be honored for making the ultimate sacrifice while deployed at the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan.
“Team Fairchild is a strong family. We remain resilient together during this unexpected and difficult tragedy that resulted in the loss of three Airmen’s lives,” said Col. Brian Newberry, 92nd Air Refueling Wing commander. “This memorial is a reminder for us to remember that freedom is never free, and we will not forget the sacrifices of Capt. Voss, Capt. Pinckney and Tech. Sgt. Mackey. They were great Airmen and will be forever missed.”
